Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into 2-inch meatballs.
  3. Sear meatballs in olive oil over medium heat until browned on all sides; set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, caramelize sliced onions in butter and sugar until golden brown (15-20 minutes).
  5. Add flour to the onions and stir well; gradually pour in beef broth and bring to a simmer.
